Franklin Curbelo
Owner & Linguist, Acentos, Inc.
Uruguayan and U.S. citizen, Franklin Curbelo, immigrating to Minnesota in the 1970´s, has been a pioneering multilingual immigrant entrepreneur on East Lake Street for decades and leads Acentos, Inc. providing language services for Minnesota companies and multilingual community.
He is Copy Editor, Voice Over talent, and Producer. Media professional, he has produced pioneering multicultural programming such as Full Circle (KARE 11, 1991), Live Wire (MTN, 1990-92), Latin American Weekly Review (KFAI, 1990-92) MN Cuban Film Festival (2014-present). He has also been bilingual press (La Prensa, 1990-94) and culture entrepreneur: MN New Song Committee (1985-1990), presenting artists such as: Lázaro Ros (Cuba), Inti Illimani (Chile), etc.
He has translated and interpreted in the Minnesota correctional system, local industry, City of Minneapolis social communication, and advertising. He is a Member Of American Translation Association.
